London teenager Yemi risks losing the small amount of street cred he has thanks to the arrival of his estranged big brother from Nigeria. Ikudayisi’s terrible fashion sense, broad Yoruba accent and misplaced confidence with the opposite sex threaten to destroy Yemi’s reputation.

When the pair are forced to spend the day together on their Peckham estate, Yemi has to confront local bullies, the unattainable girl of his dreams and his own African heritage, eventually teaching both brothers the values of family and self-respect.

Based on the Olivier Award-winning stage play by Bola Agbaje, first performed at The Royal Court, Gone Too Far! is the riotous feature debut of director Destiny Ekaragha.

Gone Too Far! is presented in partnership with The New Black Film Collective as part of Nolly-Oh! - a nationwide celebration of the passion, drama, and spirit of Nollywood cinema, showcasing stories that explore the complexities of love, friendship, rivalry and resilience from Nigeria to the UK.
