A collection of short films presented as part of Asia Triennial Manchester’s Temporal Landscapes programme, celebrating award-winning director Tsai Ming-Liang.

Films in this programme:

Walking on Water (2013) - Tsai Ming-Liang revisits his childhood home in Kuching, Malaysia: a seven-story social housing project built in 1958 where he spent his early years.

Autumn Days (2015) - A tribute to Japanese filmmaker Akira Kurosawa and a portrait of Nogami Teruyo, who worked for nearly fifty years as Kurosawa’s script supervisor.

No No Sleep (2015) - A monk wanders through Tokyo at midnight. He walks along the city’s skywalks, visits a public bathhouse, and has a chance encounter with actor and director Masanobu Ando.
