HOME’s quarterly showcase of films made by writers, directors or producers currently based in the North West.

 

This event will begin at the advertised time with no ads or trailers.

From grassroots guerrilla filmmakers to established productions companies, the film community is thriving in our region.

Join us for an evening screening and discover a wide variety of short films from filmmaker based in the region and stay on to chat with them and each other in the bar afterwards.

The entire programme is selected by a panel of audience members from open submissions.

Danes Moss

Danes Moss is a short film about one of England’s last remaining lowland peat bogs - a rare and ancient habitat on the edge of Macclesfield, Cheshire. Home to endangered species such as the Willow Tit and countless others, the moss has been steadily diminished by centuries of human use. Now, what remains faces a new threat: a major housing development that would destroy a significant part of this living landscape.
