Led by Manchester-based artist Will Belshah, this workshop is an invitation to explore art as a space for connection and recovery through collaborative art making.

Informed by Artefacts of Interaction, an exhibition in the Granada Foundation Galleries at HOME during Recoverist Month: Sept 2025, this workshop builds on methods of co-production that informed the paintings on display. The exhibition explores the tangled terrain where neurodivergence, substance use (prescribed or illicit), and artistic practice can intersect.

During the workshop there will be the opportunity to paint together on a single shared canvas. This evolving artwork encourages individuals to paint over and alongside each other’s contributions, blending styles, ideas, and expressions into a unified collective voice.

The event is informal, so feel free to drop in at any time. You’ll be able to contribute to the art making, or take a break, chat and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.
