Take part in a lively dance workshop led by Fares Farraj, introducing Dabkeh, the traditional Palestinian folk-dance style rooted in community and resistance.

Play fun rhythmic movement games, learn basic Dabke steps and create a short performance piece. Don’t forget to wear comfortable clothes, bring water and come with an open mind.

Fares Farraj is a dancer originally from Palestine, and a former member of El-Funoun Palestinian Dabke troupe, which is the leading Palestine troupe in the world. As an international artist recently settled in the UK, Fares took part in Curious Minds’ Pushing Boundaries training and development programme, which has supported him to work in schools in England.

This workshop is located in the Weston Room on the second floor.
