How to get there:
Number 1 First Street is at the corner of Medlock Street and Whitworth Street behind the train arches near Oxford Road Station in the city centre of Manchester.
There are lots of hoardings around the building due to the construction of our new building but don’t worry!
• If you’re approaching from Whitworth Street West walk through the railway arch opposite the Hacienda apartments and straight down First Street between the hoardings. The entrance to Number One, First Street is down a small corridor on your left.
• If approaching from the car park at Number One, First Street, walk through the car park exit towards the building. Continue walking down First Street with the building on your right. The entrance is down a small corridor on your right.
• You’ll be greeted by a HOME member of staff in the foyer of Number One, First Street and be directed to the second floor which is where our temporary space is located.
Car parking
Parking is available on the public car park next to Number One First Street. Access to the car park is via Medlock Street. The car park is open 24/7, prices are £3 for up to 4 hours or £4 for over 4 hours.
Metrolink
Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink tram stop is within five minutes’ walk. Deansgate and Oxford Road stations are also within five minutes walk.
Buses
105 and 256 from Manchester City Centre (Piccadilly Gardens) stop on Medlock Street.
Rail
Nearest station is Oxford Road, about 5 minutes walk away. Head down Whitworth Street West towards Deansgate and First Street is on your left.
