The Cobblers Arms, Castleford, has never been beaten in the Ameteur Rugby league Seven-a-side Tournament. But Arther Hoyle, our luckless hero, thinks he can change that. In a rash moment he stakes his house in a bet with local Mr. Big, Reg Welsh: a bet that says Arthur can train any team- and beat the Cobblers out of Castleford.
But can he do it- especially with the motley band of players he ends up with?
