Beginning its life during the RSC’s Complete Works season in 2006, this ground-breaking production of Macbeth re-imagines Shakespeare’s tale of murder and madness through an intricately crafted blend of text, movement and polyphonic song.
Presented by an international ensemble of eight exceptional performers and performed in English, the production explores the musicality and muscularity of Shakespeare’s extraordinary language. At once beautiful and chilling, the production shifts seamlessly from dramatic scene to visceral movement sequence and soaring song.
Macbeth comes to The Capitol Theatre as part of the company’s first UK tour which is presented by The Point, Eastleigh, Arts Council England and the Instytut Adama Mickiewicza.
