As everything in an Indian woman’s life depends on the star, there is drama, hysteria and absurdist comedy from day one! Pooja meaning ritual or offering in Sanskrit, is a one woman show that draws on the rich tradition of ritual and story-telling in Asian theatre and cultural heritage that includes Sri Lankan, Tamil, Hindu and Malaysian influences. The characters, matriarchs and victims, the confused and enlightened, comic and tragic are entrapped on a horoscope grid that becomes a hopscotch game of fate, chance and superstition.
