Othello

Of the four great Shakespearean Tragedies, “Othello” must have the strongest impression on the audience because nothing in the play appears remote; the characters are timeless. Its dramatic impact is strengthened by the fact that the evnts and the language have not dated. Someone wrote to say at the time this play was performed:-
“Delighted that you are doing ‘Othello’- unlike Shakespeares other tragedies, I felt deeply involved int his play and experienced a genuine feeling of shock at what happens. It is dramatically and poetically wonderful”
