Would you care to join me?
Would you care to dance?
Would you care to talk about it?
Would you care to help?
Sisters Gemma and Katherine have spent the past 3 years exploring their unique relationship. They’ve had lots to talk about as they’ve known each other for over 30 years. Would you care to… is a loving and often frustrated glimpse into Gemma’s life living with disabilities. Join us as we sing our protest song (with a little help from Michael Jackson), dance and have some difficult chats about care, wishes and desires.
Take this opportunity to slow down, think about those you care for and have a giggle with us. You might want to have some tissues nearby too.
Katherine is a performer, maker and teacher from Manchester. A common thread running through her practice is the need to challenge notions of who can and can’t dance, and to minimise the barriers to accessing dance as a watcher or mover. A graduate of Central Ballet School, London, she has worked with choreographers including Simone Forti, Lucy Hind, Dan Watson and Liz Aggiss.
