Honest

Library Theatre's Community Company present

It’s a weeknight. It’s late. He’s new. Meet Honest, the hardest-working sanitation deployment manager in the north.

After years of steady graft, Honest has finally got the promotion he’s been seeking. Yes, the hours might be terrible, the staff in his new office might not like him, and the town he finds himself working in might have the highest crime rate in the country – but none of that matters. He can make this promotion work, just as long as he can convince his fiancé not to give up on him.

But when Honest misses the last train after work one night, an assortment of shady night-time characters emerge to make his journey home a treacherous and impossible one. Can he make it out of town in one piece?

Honest, the story of one man trying to navigate his way through a minefield of characters, is the latest production from our Community Company. It has been created over the past few months by the company who have been developing characters through a series of exercises – bringing to life their personalities, and constructing their chequered pasts.
