Veniu! Passeu! Que casa nostra és casa vostra...Our popular Catalan Café session returns to ¡Viva! to accompany a screening of Patricia Ferreira’s tense drama Els Nens salvatges. Catalan speakers and learners of all levels are welcome to join us in discussing this feature and the festival’s wider film and events programme.

French Canadian director Jean-Marc Vallée returns with a vibrant and elegant film telling two seemingly unrelated but intrinsically inter-connected stories of love. Set in present-day Montreal, the first story follows successful DJ Antoine as he pieces together his life following the breakdown of his marriage to his childhood sweetheart. In the second story, Vanessa Paradis excels as Jacqueline, a struggling single-mother in 1969 Paris. Spanning five decades, Café de Flore is a mystical and supernatural odyssey of love exploring the lives of two people whose lives are shaken by extraordinary moments of passion.

Our Parent and Baby Screenings take place on the third Thursday of each month and are designed ONLY for parents, grandparents and carers of babies aged 12 months and under. If your child is aged over 12 months or if you wish to bring older children, we recommend bringing them along to our monthly Bring the Family screenings. Screenings are priced at our regular matinee ticket prices, with no charge for your baby.
