Our fabulous volunteers play a vital role in supporting our Theatre, Film and Visual Art programmes, helping to make HOME a place for everyone to enjoy!

Join our amazing team, and help support our exciting upcoming projects, Exhibitions, Events and more. As a HOME Volunteer you will help to provide amazing customer service, and visitor experience across everything we programme.

With Volunteer shifts available for every HOME Theatre Production, and Gallery Exhibition, you’ll have a chance to immerse yourself in the world of Art, and entertainment!
Volunteers also actively support our Creative and Artist Development teams throughout the year supporting workshops for young people, families and Adults across Film, Art, and Theatre. Most recently volunteers have worked on exciting events including VIVA Film festival, Horizon Festival, and Barmy Army an exhibition as part of Manchester International Festival.

Volunteering is open to anyone over the age of 18 who lives or studies in Greater Manchester. You don’t need any specific experience or skills, just an enthusiasm to get involved and get stuck in!

Deadline for applications is 12 noon on Friday 1st September 2023.

Shortlisted applicants will have an informal chat during September/October.

Training sessions will take place in November at various dates and times at HOME.

Please note, applications will be shortlisted for a chat with HOME’s Volunteer Programme Manager and only shortlisted applicants contacted to attend volunteer training. Please include as much information as you can to support your application to give you the best chance of being shortlisted. We will shortlist people who we feel will benefit the most from the experience of volunteering at HOME and can bring enthusiasm and passion for HOME, Manchester, arts and culture.
