Visual Art Administration and Event Assistant Internship – HOME Artist Film Weekender

We’re excited to announce our latest paid Internship role, supporting our annual Artist Film Weekender.

This is a great opportunity for someone age 18+ who is interested in exploring a creative career, with a particular interest in experimental artist film and video, live performance and regional artist networks. This Internship role will give an insight into the work of HOME across all art forms and teams, as well as more specific involvement with the HOME Artist Film Weekender (Thur 29 Nov – Sun 2 Dec). The role will focus on providing a variety of administrative support for the HOME Visual Art programme, including but not limited to HOME Artist Film (continuing) and the Asia Triennial Manchester (5 – 21 Oct).

AFW18 will be HOME’s fourth annual celebration of the alternative-wonderful world of artist film, crammed with special guests, premieres and discussions. Currently in the programming phase, we will be presenting artist features, shorts and in conversation activity across four days, Thu 29 Nov, Fri 30 Nov, Sat 1 Dec and Sun 2 Dec.

We’re looking for someone aged 18+ who is looking for an internship in Visual Arts and has an interest in developing a career in the creative industries. You’ll also need to be interested in finding out more about the work HOME creates and presents.

This is a part-time, fixed contract, entry level role at the following rate;

Salary: £7.57 per hour
Total hours of contract: 112
Typically 10:00 – 18:00 This role will include some evening and weekend work to be confirmed in advance with the intern

Starting: Within the week commencing Mon 08 October
Ending: Within the week ending 07 December 2018 (TBC)

There are certain criteria you must meet in order to be eligible to apply for this Internship;
