Here & Now – Workshop with Trân Tran

Trân Tran is a Swiss artist whose work explores the fundamentals of human connection and the drive to be connected through art. In early 2022 Trân Tran will be bringing their show ‘HERE & NOW’ to the UK and they are in search of a UK performer to join the show for their UK performance dates.

Trân Tran was introduced to HOME through the Swiss Selection Edinburgh programme when they undertook a week-long digital residency in 2020. HOME are delighted to continue to support Trân’s work here in the UK, along with the ongoing support of Pro Helvetia and the Swiss Selection Edinburgh programme.

The Workshop

This online workshop gives artists an insight into this international artist’s practice as well as a chance for Trân Tran to meet like minded performers who they may be able to collaborate with.

Trân Tran invites UK performers to join them for an afternoon of storytelling & games to discover what it means to be here & now.

Trân will share their tools for performance making, as the workshop playfully unpicks the role of the performer and their relationship to an audience. As well as sharing their practice, Trân will ask participants to share their own stories of being ‘here & now’ with an audience in the hope that the workshop will create a unique community of performers looking for connection.

The workshop will take place on Zoom, on Thursday 19 August, 3-6pm.
