GM Artist Hub is a project bringing together many of the city-region’s most well-known organisations in an effort to support the independent performers, artists and companies that make up Greater Manchester’s vibrant artistic community. As part of this project HOME is delighted to announce this opportunity for the artists of Greater Manchester.
The Reboot Fund is offering 8 grants of £1500 to support the initial development of a new piece of performance-based work over a three month period.
This peer-supported, artist development fund is for early career artists who are based in Greater Manchester, and interested in developing a new idea for a live space or digital platform. Drawing on the strengths of the 13 different organisations who make up GM Artist Hub, this programme will offer dedicated time and support for early career artists to undertake research and development of a new creative idea that could then be further developed into a finished production or project for the future. This opportunity is open to makers, writers, designers, directors, producers and other creatives who are interested in creating performance-based work.
We want to hear from a wide range of people from across the region. We particularly welcome applications from those currently under-represented in the industry as a result of barriers arising from social, gender, sexuality, financial, ethnic, cultural, religious, geographic or educational disadvantage or disability.
Deadline for applications midnight 25 October 2020.
