Equality and Diversity Officer

Job context

We are looking for an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer to support the HR Manager in embedding HOME’s equality, diversity and inclusion activity. The successful candidate will ultimately support all protected characteristic equality focused activity in all areas of the organisation but will initially focus on anti-racism movements.

The role will provide practical and strategic advice for the organisation. You will act as a key point of liaison between the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Forum, external anti-racism groups and with the Executive Team and Wider Leadership Team.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering antiracism work, an ability to build positive working relationships with key stakeholders, and a good knowledge of broader diversity and inclusion issues

Job summary

We are looking for a highly self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with previous experience in a similar role. You’ll play a huge part in supporting the organisation achieve its equality and diversity objectives and will form a member of the wider leadership team.

This role is initially offered on a three-year fixed-term contract.

Salary: £30,000 pro rata
Contract: This post is part-time 3 days per week fixed term for three years.
Hours of work: GMAC Ltd has a standard working week of 40 hours inclusive of meal breaks.
Exact hours of work as required by demands of the post.
Overtime payments will not be made, however time off in lieu, with the agreement of the HR Manager, will be available to cover any additional hours worked.
