BFI NETWORK Talent Executive, Film Hub North

Film Hub North are looking for a new BFI NETWORK Talent Executive to support their work developing a new wave of filmmakers in the North of England.

Led in partnership by HOME and Showroom Cinema, Film Hub North supports early-career filmmakers in the North of England through a combination of funding, training and community building. The Hub finances short films and the early development of features, delivers an extensive schedule of events and creative development programmes, and champions filmmakers from the region.

The BFI NETWORK Talent Executive will join the Hub’s Talent Development team. Working alongside their colleagues, they will ensure the Hub’s filmmaker development work is effective, inclusive and creatively accomplished. The Talent Executive will be responsible for discovering and developing early-career filmmakers in the region – with a particular focus on Yorkshire and the North West – supporting them to access funding and training opportunities, and providing assistance and oversight on funded projects.

Job details

This is a full-time, fixed term contract until 31 March 2023 (subject to annual funding). The salary is £32,000.

The Hub is led by 2 of the North’s leading film organisations: HOME and Showroom Cinema. The Talent Executive will be employed by HOME and will collaborate closely with both the HOME and Showroom teams, as well as colleagues across the UK-wide BFI NETWORK project.

This post is based at Showroom in Sheffield. Some remote working is also expected, and events and meetings will take place at various locations across the North. An ability to travel is required.

The preferred start date is September 2021, negotiable.
