Apply now for Random Acts 2016

Do you have a bold, daring or challenging idea for a short film that could excite an audience and make them think differently about the world around them? If the answer is yes, then we encourage you to apply for a commission with Random Acts North.

Ideas could be made into live action or animation pieces, they could be serious or cheeky ideas and made by dancers, visual artists, poets, musicians, writers or filmmakers. Final commissioned films will be between 90 seconds and 3 minutes long.

The opportunity is open to any 16-24 year olds who live or study in the North of England and could result in applicants getting their work screened on Channel 4! Whatever your experience or background, if you think you have what it takes to make a Random Act then why not apply? No previous filmmaking experience is necessary and you will be supported by industry professionals to make your idea a reality.

24 young people will be selected to take part in the programme, which features an intensive residential training workshop, online mentoring and support from industry professionals to make the films.
