What’s on > What’s on in March

On stage, we welcome an amazing ensemble cast, including Scott & Bailey’s Amelia Bullmore, for our HOME production of Annie Baker’s Circle Mirror Transformation. Heart-warming and hilarious, this modern classic sees a group of adults entangle and transform their lives in a creative drama class.

Elsewhere on our stages we also look forward to two shows from Action Hero, the intimate and brief show for one person at a time Extraordinary Rendition, and the epic six-hour long tour de force Slap Talk.

On our screens this month, we launch our One Film Wonders season, celebrating the best works from directors who only stepped behind the camera once, and explore a controversial genre in The Mondo Film and Its Legacy. Big new releases in March include Wes Anderson’s latest animated adventure Isle of Dogs, and we welcome Lynne Ramsay to HOME to introduce a preview of You Were Never Really Here.

In the gallery, Noor Afshan Mirza and Brad Butler’s The Scar continues in the main gallery. Mario Popham and Tom Baskeyfield’s Of Flesh and Stone takes over our Granada Foundation Galleries, exploring how we have shaped, and in turn, been shaped by stone. We also celebrate and discuss the role of women in the arts scene of China, with NOW: A Dialogue of Female Chinese Contemporary Artists.
