The stalwart Sergio Rubini plays Gianni Orzan, a successful married author of children’s books, with a young son. Orzan has recovered from his unhappy childhood under the watch of his army general father, who is recently deceased. One evening he is approached by an odd character (Bruno Ganz) who seems to know a lot about him and reveals details of his father’s life that turn Gianni’s world upside down.
