Max Bialystock (Mostel) is a washed up Broadway producer when timid accountant Leo Bloom (Wilder) inadvertently reveals that, under the right circumstances, a producer could make more money with a flop than a hit. Together they come up with a sure-fire disaster waiting to happen – “Springtime for Hitler”. Unfortunately, everybody loves it. Winner of the Oscar for Best Screenplay, the film has been restored to mark its 40th anniversary. It remains as fresh and as anarchic as ever.
