The Power of the Dog – 35mm presentation

Adapted for the screen by Campion and based on the 1967 novel by Thomas Savage, The Power of the Dog is the story of Phil Burbank, a charismatic rancher who inspires fear and awe in those around him. When his brother brings home a new wife and her son, Phil torments them until he finds himself exposed to the possibility of love.

Following its BAFTA wins for Best Film and Best Director, and winning the Oscar for Best Director, we are pleased to present The Power of the Dog from 35mm for select screenings over the Easter weekend.

★★★★★ “The Power of the Dog is made with artistry and command: it is one of Jane Campion’s best.” – The Guardian
