A full minibus leaves Kowloon heading for the New Territories. When it arrives at its destination, the normally busy streets are eerily empty. As tensions in the group mount, everyone begins to wonder if they are they the only people left alive… and what catastrophe could have hit Hong Kong? Indie darling Fruit Chan delivers a real rarity – a Hong Kong science fiction film – if a typically off-kilter one.
This screening will be introduced by Andy Willis, Reader in Film Studies at the University of Salford.
This event is part of the nationwide BFI Sci-Fi season Days of Fear and Wonder and is supported by Film Hub NWC, proud to be a partner of the Film Audience Network.
