Largely improvised and featuring a strong central performance from Marie Rivière, The Green Ray is a classic from French director Eric Rohmer. Delphine is let down by her boyfriend and is left depressed at her love life and disappointed by her Parisian surroundings, so sets off on her own on a quest for companionship and, potentially, a new lover.
