Bedridden and broken-hearted, Roy Walker is recovering in hospital from a riding accident which has left him unable to walk and looking to end his life. With a view to procuring a fatal dose of morphine, Roy develops a friendship with five-year old fellow patient Alexandria and enthrals her with elaborate stories into which he weaves characters from their daily lives. With stunning visuals, THE FALL blends the period setting of an early 20th Century hospital with a sumptuous fantasy world of bandits, palaces and breath-taking landscapes.
