The eclectic survey of shorts by filmmakers who’ve worked in features, documentaries, and music videos (inc Chris Newby, Alison Murray, Clio Barnard) is perfectly fused to the music of Sand, a group that counts classical musicians alongside members of Goldfrapp and Tube Jerk. The result is an emotive blend of dark cinematic soundscapes and driving rhythms.
