The feature début of writer-director Kidd, ROGER represents every aspiring filmmaker’s dream. After months of disappointment trying to get hisfilm into production, Dylan Kidd, then a film school graduate, put a script directly into an actor’s hands who happened to be in the same restaurant. The actor agreed to star, kick-starting the production. Campbell Scott plays a motor-mouthed, cynical New Yorker who believes he is Casanova reincarnate. Until his naïve nephew arrives in town hoping to learn his trade. Throughout a long, dark Manhattan night, it seems that both boys have some growing up to do.
