Opus Zero

Directed by Daniel Graham

Paul (Dafoe, At Eternity’s Gate), an American composer, travels to his recently deceased father’s house in rural Mexico. The few details he knows about him lie scattered between the town’s enigmatic air and the memory of a woman who vanished 30 years before. Meanwhile, a visiting documentary film team witness a supernatural event that makes them question their purpose. This debut feature confronts the mysterious mechanisms of creation. Beautifully composed, it has echoes of Antonioni.
