Directed by Ricardo Benet

In a dead-end desert settlement too small to even warrant a name, a restless young labourer dreams of escaping his tortured family and moving to Mexico City. Domestic melodrama, gothic romance and a neo-western notion of frontiers, both psychological and geographic, all intersect in this poetic, elliptical, and, at times, disturbing cinematic exploration of home and community. This feature directorial début marks Benet as one to watch.
