After a tragic accident, Courgette (a 9 year old boy) is sent to a foster home filled with other orphans his age. At first he struggles to find his place in this strange and hostile environment but soon he learns to trust again. In spite of its juvenile appearance, My Life as a Courgette is a mature story that deals with the complicated issues of growing up in a sensitive, thought-provoking and humorous way.
