Midnight in Paris

Directed by Woody Allen

Adored at Cannes Film Festival this year, and hailed by critics as Woody Allen on true top form, Midnight in Paris is a witty romantic comedy starring Owen Wilson as Hollywood screenwriter Gil who is desperate for recognition as a writer of great literature. Wilson leads a stellar cast in a scene-stealing performance, as we follow Gil while he holidays in Paris with his surly girlfriend and, by chance, her parents.

When none of his companions share his passion for the French capital, Gil heads off into the night alone and encounters a range of mysterious characters. A must-see for fans of early Woody Allen – if you liked The Purple Rose of Cairo, this one is definitely for you.
