Mary and the Witch’s Flower

Directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi

Award-winning director Hiromasa Yonebayashi – whose work for Studio Ghibli included the beloved Arriety and When Marnie Was There – continues his fine form with the recently formed Studio Ponoc. The narrative centres on an awkward young girl who is given a place at a top-secret school for witches. Based on the 1971 novel The Little Broomstick by British author Mary Stewart, this is a sublime animated adventure that is full of charm and innovation.

This film will have a mix of Dubbed and Subtitled screenings.
