From nearly 1,400 submissions, MAF selected the best animated short films from around the world to play in competition at Manchester Animation Festival 2019. These superbly crafted short films invite the audience to indulge in animation as they demonstrate the remarkable potential of the short form.
The range of styles on display in this selection are a feast for the eyes, featuring films with spoken word, pharmaceutical drugs and Alzheimers, films released for World Refugee Day 2019 and a long short from the makers of A Town Called Panic.
