Lost in Translation + Post-screening discussion

Two guests at a Tokyo hotel – a middle-aged actor and the young wife of a popular photographer – strike up an unusual friendship, one that provides a welcome escape from their boredom and loneliness. Beautifully played by Murray and Johansson, Coppola’s second feature is not without controversy yet remains one of the most poignant and fondly remembered films of its age.

The screening on Sun 5 Mar will be accompanied by a free, informal post-screening discussion led by Maggie Hoffgen, Freelance Film Educator.
