The director of IRMA VEP returns to the world of Parisian thirty-somethings, with this insightful portrait of a circle of friends affected by the impending death of the writer at the centre of their sphere. Aspiring writer Gabriel is making a documentary about his friend and mentor, author Adrien Willer. When Willer is taken ill, Gabriel and related friends each discover the meaning the author has had for them.
