In this beautifully produced documentary portrait of Afghanistan today, a surgeon and a war correspondent decide to join forces and set up a hospital in the country to deal with the results of 20 years of warfare. Under the Taliban government, the new establishment is extremely busy, dealing with hungry citizens, women beaten for exposing their legs, victims of stray military gunfire. Will there ever be a time when business is slow?
