James and the Giant Peach

Directed by Henry Selick

James’ happy life at the English seaside is abruptly ended when his parents are killed by a rogue rhinoceros and he goes to live with his two horrid aunts. Daringly saving the life of a spider he comes into possession of magic boiled crocodile tongues, after which an enormous peach starts growing in the garden.  A fond and fruitful tribute to the cranky genius of Dahl.

Part of a UK-wide programme led by Film Hub Wales, with the support of the BFI, which has awarded National Lottery funding, in collaboration with the Roald Dahl Estate, which is marking the centenary with the Roald Dahl 100 – a year packed full of exciting surprises and treats.
