Infamous

This is the other Capote movie, sourced from George Plimpton’s 1997 oral history, with acclaimed Brit actor Jones channeling the impish spirit of the American writer and pre-007 Craig as the object of his obsession – convicted killer Perry Smith. Like Capote, it follows the author during the researching and writing of In Cold Blood. But where this version really shines is in Jones’ uncanny resemblance to Truman and in the film’s fond, funny depiction of his elegant, generous life as host and Manhattanite bon vivant.
