Home Alone

Directed by Chris Columbus

A charming coming-of-age story which follows 8 year old all-American kid Kevin McCallister who, through a series of unfortunate events, ends up home alone in the run up to Christmas. With the rest of his family en-route to Paris for their festive holidays, Kevin takes full advantage of his new-found freedom enjoying late night movies and all the ice cream he can eat! His parents soon realise their mistake and scramble across the globe to try and get back to America, but little do they know that a pair of amateur thieves, Harry and Marv, are on the prowl in their neighbourhood. Kevin discovers that he is under siege in his own home and takes it upon himself to hold the thieves back with a collection of improvised booby traps.

Directed by Chris Columbus (writer of The Goonies) and featuring an unforgettable Oscar-nominated score from renowned composer John Williams (Jaws and Star Wars), Home Alone is a classic of early 1990s cinema and a film for all the family to enjoy.
