Everyone Their Grain of Sand

On the outskirts of Tijuana, the community of Maclovio Rojas fights against eviction by a state government who prefers multinationals as tenants. But the citizens fight on – for water, gas, a school and teachers – despite intimidation and arrest. For this passionate doc, director Beth Bird spent three years in the community documenting the ground level effects of globalisation and the real price of NAFTA.
