Enys Men

Directed by Mark Jenkin

Mark Jenkin’s eagerly anticipated follow-up to his highly-acclaimed debut Bait, a favourite of HOME audiences. Jenkin’s second feature is a hand-crafted and enigmatic folk-horror tale capturing the unsettling experiences of a female researcher (Mary Woodvine) living and working alone on a desolate island off the Cornish coast. As the days pass and loneliness sets in, mysterious manifestations cause her to doubt her own mind. Jenkin’s film – shot in colour on 16mm film – is poetic, tactile and possessed of an uncanny power.

Don’t miss Mark Jenkin’s exclusively curated season in partnership with the BFI, The Cinematic DNA of Enys Men.
