A delectable blend of comedy and melodrama – with food, DINNER RUSH is the piece de resistance served up by director Giraldi, himself an owner of New York Italian eateries. Louis (Aiello) owns hot Italian restaurant Gigino, despite the attempts of his pretentious celebrity-chef son to take control of the establishment as well as the menu in an attempt to please the beautiful people. Meanwhile, the other chef owes a bundle to the bookies as myriad other intrigues unfold. With its tangy dialogue, nicely browned hues,and well done acting, DINNER RUSH is a dish to be savoured.
