Bertrand Tavernier’s stunningly prophetic sci-fi noir Death Watch is a breathtaking blend of genres that plays out like a mad trip into the heart of Big Brother. Set in Glasgow, the film follows Roddy who has a camera implanted in his eye. He’s been hired by a television producer to film a documentary of terminally ill Katherine, without her knowledge. The resulting footage will then be run on the popular TV series, ‘Death Watch’. Don’t miss this underrated and rarely seen classic of European cinema.
