Create Salford Short Film Showcase: Programme 1

Join the University of Salford for this evening showcasing the very best of this year’s moving image work. The selection of shorts from both undergraduate and postgraduate students will feature films from across the School of Arts & Media, from animation to artist film and fiction. This screening will be taking place as part of the University’s annual Create Salford celebrations and delivered in partnership with HOME.

Films screening are:

Bob the Bipolar Blob
Dir Lucie Nouraud, GB, 2017, 3 Mins

Boo narrates the rough day her dad Bob is having, explaining the different behaviours and emotions that can arise in people who have bipolar. From sadness to exhilaration, the different states Bob goes through are explained with simple words and animation to help people with bipolar disorder explain what happens to them.

Corrugated

Little Seed

Trying to survive in a winter wasteland, Little Seed travels around trying to scavenge supplies until she encounters an apple and a dying tree. She attempts to save the tree only to make matters worse. While the tree does die, there is hope in the seedlings that appear from the apples.

Space Between Us

This artistic film explores the unease behind Britain’s current political turmoil, pulling visual input from the media’s repetitive portrayal of mass immigration and the conflict between chaos and control in our freedom of speech.

The Animalympic Games
