Anderson’s film is an audacious tale of the rise and fall of a porn star and his cobbled-together filmmaking ‘family’. Dubbed the ‘SHORT CUTS of porn’, BOOGIE NIGHTS deals with the same themes as SEX IS COMEDY (screening at Cornerhouse 15 – 28 August),the movie-making process and the shooting of sex scenes, but with a totally different -and more flamboyant – approach.
