Directed by John Berry

Set during the Apartheid era, Athol Fugard’s play BOESMAN & LENA has been dubbed a South African Waiting for Godot. Shot on location in Cape Town, this loyal adaptation follows husband and wife Boesman (Glover) and Lena (Bassett) as they’re bulldozed out of their tin shack and take up residence on a remote, spectacular beach. There they continue the escalating battle of their life, interrupted only by a mysterious old man who converses solely in Xhosa. Through the couple’s verbal sparring, their disintegrating relationship is revealed in flashback.
