Blue Black Permanent + post-screening discussion

This haunting work moves between Edinburgh and Orkney as it tells of a woman’s attempts to come to terms with her mother’s death through her childhood memories. A film about islanders’ relationship with the ever-present sea, Tait’s only feature-length film, from her own screenplay, is the first Scottish feature film directed by a woman.

Event details

The screening on Sunday 01 September at 13:00 will be followed be a free, informal post-screening discussion led by Mary Stark, an experimental filmmaker in the final year of a practice-based PhD at Manchester School of Art.
