Bande à Part

Directed by Jean-Luc Godard

In recent years BANDE À PART has been re-discovered due to Tarantino’s inspiration from its famous dance scene in PULP FICTION. Indeed, this is one of Godard’s most appealing, open films, made even more attractive in this new 35mm print. It’s loosely a gangster pic in which Karina joins up with two young wannabe tough guys to plan crimes and play at life – and of course to dance that ultra hip dance. Once more the director cinematically declares his love for classic Hollywood and for his stunning star and wife Karina.
